Basketball Recap: Alexandria City Takes a Loss

Alexandria City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were beaten by the Lake Braddock Bruins 75-47. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bruins apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Alexandria City lost, don't look at Tarik Sesay. Despite the final result, he went 5 for 8 on his way to 13 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Octavius Miller Jr, who posted seven points.

Alexandria City's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Lake Braddock, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

Alexandria City will square off against South County at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. South County will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Alexandria City surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lake Braddock, they will face off against West Potomac at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in West Potomac's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches.
