The Roncalli Royals will head out on the road to challenge the Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory Braves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Roncalli is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.8 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Roncalli was able to grind out a solid victory over Lafayette Central Catholic, taking the game 64-54. The win continues a trend for the Royals in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won three in a row.

Noah Schmaltz was nothing short of spectacular: he went 8-for-12 en route to 18 points and three steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in February of 2024. Joe Taylor was another key player, going 5-for-11 to rack up 13 points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory came up short against Tri-West Hendricks on Tuesday and fell 49-42.

Roncalli's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.

Roncalli came up short against Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 67-55. Can Roncalli avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
