Basketball Recap: Section Comes Up Short

Section lost against Pisgah back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Section Lions lost 76-50 to the Pisgah Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Eagles are ranked 44th).

Section has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Pisgah, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-4.

Section will take on Whitesburg Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pisgah, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 66-62 defeat against North Sand Mountain on the 18th.
