Forest Lake owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Cretin-Derham Hall Raiders. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on April 4th.

The result came thanks to Avery Muellner's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Forest Lake's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Maija Kunshier, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Forest Lake's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Cretin-Derham Hall, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Forest Lake is set to face off against their familiar foe East Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rangers 1.4, the Raptors 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Cretin-Derham Hall will take on rival Park at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
