Volleyball Recap: Simeon Takes a Loss

The Simeon Wolverines came up short against the Payton College Prep Grizzlies on Tuesday and fell 2-0. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-5.

Payton College Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eliana Snopek, who had five aces and three digs. That's the most aces Snopek has posted since back in September of 2024. Norah Marinelli also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Simeon's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Payton College Prep, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-9.

Simeon will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bloom at 6:00 p.m. on the 27th. Payton College Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
