Preview: Fort Hancock Mustangs vs. McCamey Badgers
Fort Hancock has been on the road for four straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the McCamey Badgers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Hancock will be strutting in after a win while McCamey will be coming in after a defeat.
In what's become a running theme this season, Fort Hancock gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past Anthony 62-29 on the road. Fort Hancock's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Meanwhile, McCamey's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They were dealt a 85-31 loss at the hands of Wink. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for McCamey in their matchups with Wink: they've now lost five in a row.
Fort Hancock is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for McCamey, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-12.
Fort Hancock took their win against McCamey in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 54-32. Will Fort Hancock repeat their success, or does McCamey have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
