Recap: Logan Wildcats vs. Robert C. Byrd Eagles
The Logan Wildcats were the 41-37 winner over the Robert C. Byrd Eagles when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Logan took a 53-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Robert C. Byrd.
Leading Robert C. Byrd to victory were Carleigh Curotz and Martina Howe. Curotz scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, while Howe scored 23 points along with three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Howe has scored at least a third of Robert C. Byrd's points. Another player making a difference was Kyla Sutherlin, who scored nine points.
Logan's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Robert C. Byrd, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Logan will square off against WestSide at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. WestSide will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Logan surely won't give up without a fight. As for Robert C. Byrd, they will head out on the road to square off against East Fairmont at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as East Fairmont comes in on 20 and Robert C. Byrd on three.
