Basketball Recap: Lilly Bushey's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Northwestern over Kenton Ridge

Northwestern lost against Kenton Ridge back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Northwestern Warriors took a 37-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kenton Ridge Cougars.

Northwestern's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lilly Bushey, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 boards. Bushey is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 11 or more in the last three games she's played. Julia Shaw was another key player, putting up two points and five boards.

Northwestern dropped their record down to 2-15 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Kenton Ridge, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11.

Northwestern has already played their next matchup, a 50-44 win against Indian Lake on the 25th. As for Kenton Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 59-36 defeat against London on the 25th.
