Basketball Recap: Christian Life Takes a Loss

After flying high against Leland last Tuesday, Christian Life came back down to earth. The Christian Life Eagles took a 64-47 bruising from the Faith Christian Falcons on Thursday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Faith Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyler Kibble, who went 7-for-8 en route to 22 points. Those 22 points gave Kibble a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Schuler, who almost dropped a triple-double with 11 points, nine boards, and nine assists.

Christian Life has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 14-11 record this season. As for Faith Christian, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Life will host Stillman Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Faith Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Rockford FIRE HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. Faith Christian is facing Rockford FIRE HomeSchool at the right time seeing as Rockford FIRE HomeSchool is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
