Basketball Game Preview: Kouts Mustangs & Fillies vs. Tri-County Cavaliers

The Kouts Mustangs & Fillies will face off against the Tri-County Cavaliers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Kouts comes in on four and Tri-County on five.

Kouts is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Washington Township by a score of 61-52.

Meanwhile, Tri-County beat West Central 58-51 on Saturday.

Tri-County's win came from a few key players Kouts will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Grayson Schneider, who went 6-for-10 on his way to 16 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Trey Foster, who shot 60% from the field en route to 16 points.

Kouts' victory bumped their record up to 22-4. As for Tri-County, their win bumped their record up to 14-11.

Everything came up roses for Kouts against Tri-County when the teams last played back in February of 2020, as the team secured a 100-42 victory. In that match, Kouts amassed a halftime lead of 59-25, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
