Volleyball Recap: Weed Cougars vs. Mt. Shasta Bears
Weed suffered their biggest loss since October 24, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against the Mt. Shasta Bears, falling 3-0. The Cougars have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
While Weed ultimately came up short, they really made Mt. Shasta work, particularly in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 26-24.
Maci Phillips paced Weed's offense, picking up nine kills. Phillips got some help from Brooklynn Bivens and her 12 assists. Phillips was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
