Basketball Game Preview: Hope Academy Trojan Tigers vs. Four Corners Coyotes

Hope Academy has gone 3-0 against Four Corners recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Hope Academy Trojan Tigers will take on the Four Corners Coyotes in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. Hope Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Four Corners likes a good challenge.

Hope Academy saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against Vanguard by a score of 73-62.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hope Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Willie Griggs, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 19 boards. Griggs is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last 19 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Nathaniel Boyer, who went 6 of 11 en route to 17 points along with eight boards and five assists.

Hope Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Four Corners came up short against New Dimensions on Friday and fell 69-62. The loss continues a trend for the Coyotes in their matchups with New Dimensions: they've now lost five in a row.

Hope Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Four Corners, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Everything came up roses for Hope Academy against Four Corners in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 93-60 victory. Does Hope Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Four Corners turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
