Volleyball Recap: Cranston East Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Cranston East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 24th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the East Greenwich Avengers. If the Thunderbolts were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Avengers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cranston East started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-20.

East Greenwich found their leader in sophomore Sophia Hartman, who had 15 assists and four aces.

Cranston East's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for East Greenwich, with the win, they broke their four-match losing streak and moved their record to 4-10.

Cranston East does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Greenwich, they will take on Chariho at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
