Baseball Recap: Olentangy Comes Up Short

Olentangy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Medina Battling Bees by a score of 5-3 on Saturday. If the Braves were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Battling Bees when the teams met back in April of 2016, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Olentangy saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Hire, who went 2-for-5 with one triple and one run.

Medina has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Olentangy will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Hayes at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Medina, they will head out on the road to face off against Mayfield at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
