West Carter got themselves on the board against Fairview on Friday, but Fairview never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Eagles. The Comets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by seven runs or more this season.

West Carter pushed their record up to 5-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Fairview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Looking ahead, West Carter will be playing at home against Morgan County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.42 runs per game on average), something the Comets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Fairview, they will head out on the road to square off against Boyd County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
