Football Recap: Crestview's Rushing Dominance Continues + How To Watch

Crestview strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 27-21 W against the Liberty Leopards. The Rebels have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Leopards, too.

Jake Noling was his usual excellent self, rushing for 124 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries, while also throwing for 114 yards and a pair of TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Crestview was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 264 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 184 rushing yards in 14 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Crestview's defense and their five sacks. Wyatt Hart was especially locked on to Liberty's QB and sacked him twice. Josh Smith was another major factor on D, making 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Crestview's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Liberty, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Crestview didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 42-0 win against Southeast on the 19th. As for Liberty, they have also already played their next contest, a 43-6 victory against Brookfield on the 19th.
