Volleyball Recap: Scottsburg Comes Up Short

Scottsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crawford County Wolfpack. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolfpack apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-20.

Brynley Culley paced Scottsburg's offense, picking up three kills. Culley got some help from Bella Benitez and her eight assists. Culley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Logan Wolf was the offensive standout of the match as she had 14 digs and one assist.

Scottsburg's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Crawford County, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-9.

Scottsburg has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Rock Creek Academy on the 13th. As for Crawford County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Southridge on the 13th.
