Volleyball Game Preview: Langston Hughes Panthers vs. Dutchtown Bulldogs

The Langston Hughes Panthers will square off against the Dutchtown Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Langston Hughes has five straight wins, Dutchtown has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

It was a proper cat-fight when Langston Hughes faced off against Stephenson on Thursday. The Panthers came out on top against the Jaguars by a score of 2-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Langston Hughes took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Dutchtown came up short against Union Grove on Thursday and fell 2-0.

While Dutchtown was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-19.

Dutchtown's defeat dropped their record down to 15-17. As for Langston Hughes, their victory bumped their record up to 9-19.

Langston Hughes couldn't quite get it done against Dutchtown when the teams last played back in September of 2017 as they fell 2-0. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
