Preview: St. Louis University vs. Vashon
If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for St. Louis University. They will challenge Vashon on the road at 1:00 PM on Saturday. St. Louis University don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Things haven't been easy for St. Louis University, and their match last Friday only extended their streak of losses to eight. They were completely outmatched, falling 0-48 to Trinity Catholic.
Meanwhile, their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Vashon, but their most recent contest may have softened the blow. They snuck past Sumner/Northwest Academy of Law with a 24-20 win. The win was a breath of fresh air for Vashon as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.
Vashon's victory lifted them to 1-7 while St. Louis University's defeat dropped them down to 0-8. We'll find out if Vashon can add another positive mark to their record or if St. Louis University can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Vashon's step.
