Soccer Recap: Lancaster Takes a Loss

Lancaster lost against Rappahannock back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Red Devils lost 6-0 to the Raiders. While losing is never fun, Lancaster can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 250th, while Rappahannock are ranked 84th).

This is the second loss in a row for Lancaster and nudges their season record down to 4-9. As for Rappahannock, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lancaster will face off against Mathews at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mathews will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Lancaster surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rappahannock, they will challenge King William at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Rappahannock's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while King William have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
