Concord won the last time they faced Northwest Cabarrus and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Spiders skirted past the Trojans 3-2.

Concord took Northwest Cabarrus into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-21, 25-13, 18-25, 15-8.

Lily Hermans paced Concord's offense, picking up 14 kills. Hermans got some help from Adeline Fulton and her 31 assists. Hermans was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Concord's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Northwest Cabarrus, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Concord will challenge South Rowan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northwest Cabarrus, they will host East Rowan at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight.
