Manistee lost to Frankfort back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Mariners won by a set and slipped past the Panthers 3-2. The victory was nothing new for the Mariners as they're now sitting on five straight.

Manistee had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 27-29, 28-26, 25-22, 15-11.

Manistee's win bumped their record up to 16-12. As for Frankfort, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-17-2 record this season.

Manistee will square off against Mason County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Frankfort, they will face off against Bear Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
