Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Tanner Thackeray and Gary Williams Jr Lead Dugway to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Salt Lake Academy, Dugway was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 34-23 win over the Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams Marauders. That 11 point margin sets a new team best for the Mustangs this season.

Leading Dugway to victory were Gary Williams Jr and Tanner Thackeray. Williams Jr posted 16 points, while Thackeray had 12 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which Thackeray has scored at least a third of Dugway's points.

Despite the loss, Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Caden Warden earned 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of William Sandoval, who posted six points.

Dugway's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Dugway wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 100-37 loss against Merit Preparatory Academy on the 21st. As for Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams, they will play host again on December 30th to welcome Providence Hall, where tip off is scheduled at 12:00 p.m.
