After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pinnacle Classical Academy, The Master's Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They never let the Community Christian Academy Warriors get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.
Matthew Herring made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, The Master's Academy got a big performance out of Sawyer Waugh, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI. Luke Pate was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
The Master's Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Community Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .118.
