Basketball Recap: Triangle Math & Science Takes a Loss

Triangle Math & Science was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 28-23 heartbreaker at the hands of the Raleigh Charter Phoenix. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Phoenix apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Triangle Math & Science's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Raleigh Charter, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Triangle Math & Science will square off against Roxboro Community at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Raleigh Charter, they will take on NCSSM: Durham at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Unicorns' defense has only allowed 29.2 points per game this season, so the Phoenix's offense will have their work cut out for them.
