Baseball Recap: McKenzie Takes a Loss

McKenzie blew McEwen out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday McEwen got their revenge. The Rebels fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Rebels were not able to get on the board.

McKenzie has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for McEwen, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10-1.

While McKenzie had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
