Basketball Recap: Westover Triumphs

Westover won the last time they faced Crisp County, and Sydney Donaldson did her part to make sure it happened again. The Westover Patriots strolled past the Crisp County Cougars with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 50-35 thanks in part to Donaldson, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Westover's points.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was A'Jayla Bradley, who posted six points and five rebounds. Bradley continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Mariyah Chambers was another key player, putting up seven points and three steals.

The victory got Westover back to even at 3-3. As for Crisp County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Westover wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 47-33 win against Liberty County on the 19th. As for Crisp County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-26 defeat against Turner County on the 20th.
