Volleyball Recap: Stony Point's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

After a string of four wins, Stony Point's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Brock Eagles by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on Friday.

Stony Point's offense was headlined by Taliah Angwekwe and Zoe Janda, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Kierra Hernandez and her 21 assists. Aden Sanani controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Brock was led to victory by Harper Davis and Kallie Zant. Davis had 13 digs and four assists, while Zant had seven digs and one assist. That's the most digs Zant has posted over her last ten matches.

Stony Point's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Brock, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stony Point will face off against Cedar Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brock, they will head out to face off against Peaster at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
