Softball Recap: Vigor Takes a Loss

Vigor and Citronelle squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Vigor had to settle for second. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 18-2. The Wolves were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but the Wildcats' pitchers proved too tough.

With the defeat, Vigor broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-8. As for Citronelle, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-19.

Vigor didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-0 loss against Faith Academy on the 28th. As for Citronelle, they have also already played their next match, a 14-2 defeat against St. Paul's Episcopal on the 28th.
