Recap: Sylva Bay Academy Saints vs. Newton County Academy Generals
The Sylva Bay Academy Saints suffered their biggest defeat since December 12, 2023 on Thursday. They were beaten by Newton County Academy 62-32. Sylva Bay Academy has not had much luck with Newton County Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Several Saints players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lily Hatcher, who scored 13 points. Hatcher continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Poole, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Sylva Bay Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Newton County Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.
Sylva Bay Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Newton County Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
