Softball Recap: Morton Comes Up Short

Morton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 19-4 to the Pekin Dragons. The Potters were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Morton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Pekin, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Morton will challenge rival Limestone at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Pekin is set to take on their familiar foe Metamora at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
