Baseball Game Preview: Eastside Lions vs. Knight Hawks

For the second straight game, Eastside will face off against Knight. The Lions will venture away from home to take on the Hawks at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.

Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, Eastside turned things around against Knight on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Hawks a 5-0 shutout.

The result came thanks to Jimmy Munoz's shutout, as he gave up just three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Justyn Wade was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Asa Yneztrosa, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Eastside's win bumped their record up to 4-17-1. As for Knight, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
