The Hamilton Huskies will take on the Higley Knights on Thursday. Hamilton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.

Hamilton heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Tuesday. They fell just short of Mountain View by a score of 8-7.

Boston Kellner was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Noah Berge, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Higley made sure to put some runs up on the board against Mountain Ridge on Tuesday. The Knights were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Mountain Lions. The Knights not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 22nd (when they won 12-2).

Ryan Birch tossed a big game, tossing 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Higley got a big performance out of Nate Kimmel, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most hits Kimmel has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Henze, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs.

Higley is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Hamilton, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-7.
