Basketball Recap: McKinley Classical Leadership Academy Takes a Loss

If McKinley Classical Leadership Academy was feeling good fresh off their 93-49 takedown of McCluer South-Berkeley back in December of 2024, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. McKinley Classical Leadership Academy took a 99-81 bruising from the Meridian Bobcats on Friday.

Meridian had a senior duo take command as AJ Flenoid dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 boards and Colin Monan went 9 for 15 en route to 25 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Monan has scored all season. Shamar Easley was another key player, putting up eight points along with nine rebounds and three steals.

McKinley Classical Leadership Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Meridian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

McKinley Classical Leadership Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Meridian has also already played their next match, a 61-46 victory against Freeburg on the 18th.
