Football Recap: Coleman Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Coleman's offense. They were outmatched by the Montabella Mustangs and fell 64-0. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Mustangs are ranked fourth).

Logan Glazier threw for 56 yards on nine of 22 attempts.

Brady Kieff continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Montabella, rushing for 272 yards and one touchdown while picking up 14.3 yards per carry. Kieff's longest rush was for an incredible 79 yards. Gabriel Kauffman was another key player, rushing for 39 yards and a pair of scores.

This is the second loss in a row for Coleman and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Montabella, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Coleman didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 21-19 defeat against St. Charles on the 10th. As for Montabella, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 40-0 win against Fulton on the 10th.
