Basketball Recap: Northpoint Christian Trojans vs. Jackson Christian Eagles
Northpoint Christian and Jackson Christian squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Northpoint Christian had to settle for second. They were dealt a 63-32 loss at the hands of the Jackson Christian Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 362nd in Mississippi, while the Eagles are ranked 92nd in Tennessee).
Jackson Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Birman Jenkins led the charge by going 7-for-10 from beyond the arc to rack up 22 points and five rebounds.
