Irvington had to endure a nine-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on the Kennedy Titans with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The Vikings not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 9th (when they won 3-0).

Irvington never let Kennedy on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-17, 25-22.

Irvington's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Kennedy, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-16.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Irvington will square off against rival American at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kennedy is set to face off against their familiar foe Mission San Jose at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
