Basketball Game Preview: Benson vs. Ashby Arrows

Benson will take on the Ashby Arrows at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Tuesday, Benson lost to Minnewaska Area on the road by a 85-67 margin. Benson hasn't had much luck with Minnewaska Area recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Ashby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were outmatched by Wheaton and fell 85-51. While losing is never fun, the Arrows can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 330th, while the Warriors are ranked 116th).

Benson's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Ashby, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.
