Baseball Recap: Van Vleck Takes a Loss

Van Vleck and Orangefield squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Van Vleck had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Leopards have suffered since March 28th.

Van Vleck has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-14 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Orangefield, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-6.

As of now, neither Van Vleck nor the Bobcats have any future games scheduled.
