The North Lenoir Hawks will take on the Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Last Friday, North Lenoir made easy work of Southwest Onslow and carried off an 18-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won eight games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Maddie Rouse made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lakyn Whitley, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, two triples, and two stolen bases. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (five). Another player making a difference was Alyssa Hatcher, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
North Lenoir was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southwest Onslow only posted a batting average of .211.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Wallace-Rose Hill, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against James Kenan on Friday as they made off with a 9-3 win. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won seven in a row.
Jansley Page was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ta'Niya Powell, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.
The win made it two in a row for North Lenoir and bumps their season record up to 9-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, their win bumped their record up to 3-8.
Everything went North Lenoir's way against Wallace-Rose Hill in their previous matchup back in March, as North Lenoir made off with a 15-4 victory. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
