Football Recap: Dos Palos Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Dos Palos's last matchup with Coalinga could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Thursday. The Broncos lost 35-13 to the Horned Toads. The Broncos were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

When it comes to explaining why Dos Palos lost, don't look at Andre Flores. Despite the final result, he rushed for 111 yards and two scores. The Broncos are 4-1 when Flores posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise.

Coalinga's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyson Alvarado, who rushed for 129 yards and three TDs. Alvarado also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making ten total tackles (4.0 for loss). Another player making a difference was Gracin Redding, who rushed for 69 yards and one touchdown.

Dos Palos' loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-4. As for Coalinga, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
