Meanwhile, sadly, Brooke is still looking for their first win of the season after 12 contests. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 8-0 walloping at the hands of John Marshall on Wednesday. The game marked that first time this season in which Brooke was not able to get on the board.
Brooke saw one different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexa Foresha, who went 1-for-1 with a stolen base.
Linsly's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Brooke, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.
Linsly couldn't quite finish off Brooke when the teams last played back in April of 2023 and fell 3-1.
