Football Recap: Pitman Finds Home Field Redemption Against Modesto

There's no place like home for Pitman, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They strolled past the Modesto Panthers with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 29-12. The Pride haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Pitman can attribute much of their success to Rj Wilharm, who threw for 190 yards and two TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Wilharm a new career-high in passer rating (153.3).

Despite the loss, Modesto still got an impressive performance from Anthony Varela, who rushed for 115 yards. Korde Banks also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.

Pitman's record is now 4-2. As for Modesto, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-4.
