Baseball Recap: Millwood Comes Up Short

Millwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 20-2 to the Community Christian Royals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Royals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-1 on Monday.

Millwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Community Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

Coming up, Millwood will square off against Perkins-Tryon at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Community Christian, they will take on Bishop McGuinness at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Community Christian's pitchers better be ready for this one: Bishop McGuinness has averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
