Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Groton). Everything went their way against the Marathon Olympians on Monday as they made off with a 10-3 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Red Hawks needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Groton's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Marathon, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Groton will head out to take on Southern Cayuga at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Marathon, they will face off against Newfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
