Soccer Recap: United's Loss Ends Eight-Game Winning Streak at Home

United entered their game against Del Rio on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The United Longhorns fell just short of the Del Rio Rams by a score of 2-1. The Longhorns were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

United's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-2-1. As for Del Rio, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2-1 record this season.

United has already played their next matchup, a 1-1 draw against Medina Valley on the 4th. As for Del Rio, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 4-2 victory against United South on the 4th.
