Basketball Recap: Fitch Has No Trouble Against Ledyard

Fitch had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 21-point drubbing they dealt Ledyard on Friday. The Fitch Falcons were the clear victor by an 83-62 margin over the Ledyard Colonels. With the Falcons ahead 48-27 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Malakhi Sabb was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Calvin Sebastian was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 boards.

Fitch smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

Fitch's record now sits at 6-1. As for Ledyard, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Fitch wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 80-74 victory against Crosby on the 11th. As for Ledyard, they will host Wheeler at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
