Baseball Recap: Marathon's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

After flying high against Berean Christian last Tuesday, Marathon came back down to earth. The Dolphins took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jupiter Christian Eagles on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Dolphins of the 7-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2016.

The loss snapped Marathon's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-9 record. As for Jupiter Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.

Marathon didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-3 win against Mater Bay Academy on the 4th. As for Jupiter Christian, they will square off against Calvary Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Jupiter Christian's pitchers better be ready for this one: Calvary Christian Academy has averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
