Soccer Game Preview: Mt. Mansfield vs. South Burlington + How To Watch

The Mt. Mansfield Cougars will venture away from home to challenge the South Burlington Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Mt. Mansfield's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Mt. Mansfield is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Vermont's top teams: St. Johnsbury Academy, who was ranked eighth at the time (Mt. Mansfield was ranked third). The Cougars fell just short of the Hilltoppers by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. That's two games in a row now that Mt. Mansfield have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, South Burlington didn't have quite enough to beat Essex on Friday and fell 2-1.

Mt. Mansfield's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for South Burlington, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4-2.

Mt. Mansfield skirted past South Burlington 1-0 in their previous matchup on September 3rd. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
