Shiprock's last matchup with Bayfield could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Tuesday. The Chieftains lost 9-1 to the Wolverines. That's two games in a row now that the Chieftains have lost by exactly eight runs.

Shiprock's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Bayfield, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Shiprock beat the Wolverines by a score of 13-9 later that day.
